Background The history of creating films dates back to the 19th century. In every country there is its own history of films, film companies and filming traditions. As given topic is tied with curricula and development plans of six partner schools they started a project titled F.I.L.M - Fantasy, Illusion. Learning, Making. *Fantasy - creating scripts, acting them out, translating into English, creating decorations: mother tongue, foreign languages (English, French, Russian), arts, technology; *Illusion - visual effects (eg optics in physics, experiments in chemistry), technology (eg creating music with Makey-Makey, decorations in 3D modeling etc); *Learning - studying film history, copyright; activities are tied with learning and schools curricula using new innovative methods like flipped classroom, outdoor learning involving enterprises, parents etc in order to make studies more effective and motivative; *Making - creating films, its music, script, visual effects, decorations with different web- and digitools (cameras and other technology). In given project students from the first to last class can be involved, key competences are developed, new innovative curricula/educational methods are used. Objectives: * rise interest and skills of students towards using new technology, creating films as educational materials, also presentations, integrate these activities into studies and therefore rise interest towards their studies; * develop and exchange teaching methodologies in order to increase teachers' motivation and learning outcomes; * familiarize students with professions as scriptwriter, operator, film producer and others connected to given topic; * avoid school failure early school leaving, * improve students' competence in mother tongue, literature and foreign languages, * improve their skills in using internet for educational purposes, * improve intercultural competence. Number and profile of participants: about 800, including students and teachers, enterprises, parents. Description of activities: film is created where a main character travels through every partner country and introduces activities carried out during the project. Workshops and visits to film companies are organised. Technology and web tools for producing films are studied, educational materials are created. Film history, licensing and copyright are studied. Optics, lighting and other film effects are studied in physics, chemistry.
Methodology carrying out the project: *peer to peer learning, flipped classroom, *involving enterprises (technology companies, TV/film centres etc) into studies, *creating educational materials by students, *including project work into studies.
Description of the results: *Website of the project and/or blog *Etwinning project; *Survey: preferences of films/prodcasts etc; *Presentations about results of questionnaires *Web and paper based pedagogical materials; * Films about meetings, activities are created; *Pedagogical films that can be used in the lessons are created and presented.
Impact: Local level, regional, national level: *modern technological solutions at schools that are shared to other educational institutions (playschools, youth centres, hobby schools), teacher trainings in local, regional and national level. *more aware people of using these solutions and methods in their everyday job; *less unemployed, more skilled, open-minded and self-confident people in municipalities including people with special needs.
European level: *all materials will be uploaded in etwinning twinspace available for all European teachers; *partners and other teachers start using new methods, materials and technology in the lessons, at work, therefore more motivated students and parents; *sharing knowledge and experience on how to involve more young people and people with special needs to afterschool activities.
Long-term benefits: Given topic is a part of schools' curricula and development plans in partner schools. Therefore during the project different pedagogical materials are created. All materials are uploaded to the project web page, etwinning portal, educational portals in every partner country and ECAS. That way materials are available after the end of the project and used by educationalists in local, regional, national and European level. All materials eg presentations, worksheets, films etc, will be created with high quality so that after the end of the project they can be used as pedagogical material for schools. playschools and other educational institutions in their studies and adults' trainings. Also they can be presented in seminars and/or conferences in other regions and countries. Schools can share their knowledge with other schools using materials created during the project. Seminars and ICT trainings on local, regional and national level will continue where people participated in the project can be involved as trainers or lecturers.
